I used to love the attention
Anything to make the class laugh
Ants in my pants, doing the Tommy Dance
Chit-chatting my smart ass off
All the way to detention. But that was back then
These days it's much different
Don’t even want the spotlight
In fact, a quiet night sounds about right
Recharge my batteries and take a deep look inside
But now, I can’t sit still anymore
All this search of self has opened a flood door
Why am I keeping this bottled up?
Gotta get it out of my system
And breathe it into the Ether
Like smelling salts for the ones asleep
Shaking up reality
I’m doing it on purpose. On time

On purpose means I Enjoy the Ride
By not just sitting back or hanging out on the sidelines
I’m being true to myself
With my own definition of success and wealth
Living each day by the Golden Rule
Instead of getting bent out of shape I’m playing it cool
Setting goals to attain. Playing in the rain
Knowing those who dare boldly have the world to gain
I’m diving in head first for my Peace of mind
Got these words of Peace to free my mind
The world has become so upside down
Gonna do my part to help turn it around
That’s why I live and speak my Truth
Forgive me if I won't mind my P’s and Q’s
My Gut keeps telling me life is worthless
If I can’t be brave and live it on purpose

When we rise together. The sooner, the better
In time everything will happen on its own time
Always living in the moment means it’s Go time
No time to waste just waiting and hoping
The bliss we seek is right out there. In the open
It starts by looking out for each other
We’re all sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers
And we all play for the very same team: Humanity
